Abstract
This article discusses the types,mechanisms,influencing factors,and protective measures of metal corrosion in offshore oil platforms.The types of corrosion include uniform corrosion and localized corrosion(pitting corrosion,crevice corrosion,stress corrosion cracking,corrosion fatigue),and their causes involve electrochemistry,chemical reactions,and microbial action.The salinity,moisture,oxygen,temperature changes,and biological erosion of seawater are the main driving factors for corrosion.Through in-depth analysis of corrosion types and causes,more effective corrosion protection strategies can be explored to improve the safety and reliability of the platform.
