Application of OVT data processing technology in petroleum seismic exploration
Wide azimuth represents a growing trend in petroleum geophysical seismic exploration. It can not only optimize the lighting of complex underground structures, but also extract velocity information related to azimuth anisotropy.Common offset vector imaging(OVT)processing is a convenient technique for analyzing azimuthal anisotropy and is a beneficial method for improving imaging accuracy in wide azimuth seismic processing.Experience has shown that OVT has great potential in improving the quality of mid to deep imaging.Usually, work areas with severe anisotropy in orientation are more suitable for using OVT treatment technology. This article divides 3D seismic data into OVT domains and performs noise cancellation, data regularization, and pre stack depth migration processing.Compared with traditional processing, the results indicate that OVT has significant advantages in improving imaging accuracy.
