Analysis of drilling fluid technology for leak prevention and plugging in low-permeability oil reservoirs in oil fields
Low permeability oil reservoir refers to an oil reservoir with low formation permeability and with a permeability less than 0.1mD.This type of reservoir has low porosity and poor pore connectivity, making it easy for oil wells to experience leakage during the injection of drilling fluid. In addition, the rock mechanics properties of low-permeability reservoirs are poor, making them prone to problems such as leakage and overflow.Drilling fluid plays a crucial role in the process of preventing and plugging leaks. The rationality of its parameter design directly affects the effectiveness of the entire leak prevention and plugging process. The main influencing factors include the viscosity, density, rheological properties, and filtration performance of drilling fluid.By analyzing and optimizing these parameters in detail, the performance and effectiveness of leak prevention and plugging drilling fluid can be improved. This article mainly focuses on the in-depth analysis of drilling fluid technology for leak prevention and plugging in low-permeability oil reservoirs in oil fields.By studying the characteristics of different types of low-permeability reservoirs and various parameters of drilling fluids, the application advantages of leak prevention and plugging drilling fluid technology in low-permeability reservoirs were analyzed. On this basis, some improvement measures and suggestions were proposed to provide reference and guidance for drilling operations in low-permeability oil reservoirs in the oilfield.
