A Study on the Gravity Flow Deposits Characteristics of the Middle Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation in the Fuling Area of the Sichuan Basin-A Case Study of Well TY1
In recent years, research on gravity flows in the Hu-Xiang region of China has been progressively advancing. However, studies related to the Jurassic system in the Sichuan Basin have been relatively limited. In the TY1 well located in the Fuling area of southeastern Sichuan, gravity flow deposits of the Middle Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation, characterized as semi-deep to deep lake environments, have been identified. This paper, based on the core data from well TY1 and incorporating relevant theories on deep-water gravity flow deposits, conducts an in-depth study of the sedimentary rocks formed by this set of gravity flows, including sedimentary structures and vertical associations. This research,to a certain extent, enriches our understanding of deep-water gravity flow deposits in the Jurassic basin of the Sichuan Basin and holds significant implications for predicting unconventional reservoirs.
