Research on Composite Air Foam Flooding for Enhanced Oil Recovery in Yanchang Oilfield
In response to the challenges of low formation pressure,low permeability,low productivity,water channeling,severe water flooding,and ineffective energy supplementation in the Yanchang Oilfield,research and pilot tests on air foam flooding technology were conducted.A composite air foam system suitable for the properties of Yanchang reservoirs was developed in the laboratory,and the performance indicators of the composite foam system were analyzed and evaluated.Air foam flooding tests were conducted in the Tang80 well block in Ganguyi,achieving an average monthly oil increase of 104 tons,demonstrating significant oil recovery enhancement.Both laboratory research and field experiments indicate that composite air foam flooding can effectively improve the development efficiency of low-permeability reservoirs,which may serve as an effective means to further increase the recovery rate of low-permeability reservoirs.
