Understanding of the interpretation of hummocks on seismic profiles
According to the latest research results at home and abroad, the current difficulties in the interpretation of hump reflection mainly focus on the banded extended hump formed by tectonic process of basement differential uplift or submarine slump.A dune of hydrodynamic origin, extending axially within a deep water channel or trench;Isobaric residual mound and isobaric channel formed by erosion along the continental slope, and the drift deposits of the slopes around the carbonate platform;Mounds caused by sediment activation are formed by upwelling of liquefied sandstone, plastic mudstone and salt rock.A variety of factors work together to form four aspects of the mound.Based on this, the difficulties and errors in the interpretation of hummock reflection on seismic section are analyzed, aiming at providing reference for the research in related fields.
