Middle Permian carbonate stratigraphic lattice and its control over the beach in southwest Sichuan
The Middle Permian is an important oil and gas exploration horizon in southwest Sichuan in recent years, and has great potential for oil and gas exploration, but there is a lack of systematic and in-depth research on the development and distribution of tidal facies in this area.Based on the sedimentary understanding of southwest Sichuan, this study used field outcrops, logging, core and other data, combined with sequence stratigraphy, biostratigraphy and sedimentological theories,to study the sequence lattice and tidal facies development law of the Middle Permian Qixia-Maokou Formation in southwest Sichuan on the basis of sedimentary understanding. The results show that:(1)The Middle Permian in southwest Sichuan can identify four sequence interfaces, and three tertiary sequences Sq1,Sq2 and Sq3 can be developed, which can be further divided into 10 fourth-order sequences.(2)The beach body is mainly developed in the high system domain(HST)and migrates seaward with the decline of sea level, indicating that the distribution of the beach body is controlled by the sequence cycle.
