Application and Development Trend of Horizontal Well Technology in Oil Well Exploitation
Horizontal well technology,as an important innovation in the field of oil well exploitation,increases the contact area between the wellbore and reservoir to the maximum extent by creating horizontal sections in the wellbore,thereby enhancing the oil recovery rate and productivity of wells.This paper first expounds the relevant concepts and principles of horizontal well technology,and then analyzes in depth the advantages of horizontal well technology in oil well exploitation,mainly divided into three points:increasing the exposure area of reservoirs,improving oil well productivity,and extending the production life of oil fields.Illustrated by the example of Field A,the effectiveness of horizontal well technology in oil well exploitation is demonstrated,aiming to provide insights for relevant practitioners.
