Oil Recovery from Oilfield Produced Water Using Zinc Oxide Nano Particle as Catalyst in Batch and Continuous System
This article introduces the design of a photocatalytic reactor for oil removal from produced water, using zinc oxide nanoparticles to treat water produced in oil fields containing organic compound combinations. In this study, the efficiency of using(ZnO/UV)advanced oxidation process(AOP)to remove oil content from oilfield produced water was studied using ultraviolet radiation in an intermittent system,as well as the effects of zinc oxide concentration(nanoparticles),irradiation time, and pH value.
