Emergency repair of offshore submarine cables with water depth over 100 meters
This paper explores emergency repair for offshore submarine cables over 100 meters deep.Based on practical engineering cases,a typically operational procedure for emergency repair of submarine cables which based on Remotely operated vehicle(ROV)collaborative operation is briefly summarized,and troubleshooting is discussed in detail,including the accuracy of dynamic positioning,fault point positioning,difficulty and risk of ROV operation,and potential factors of unpredictable failure.Additionally,effective solutions have also been provided.
