Application of High Quality Drilling Coring Operation in Kingfisher Oilfield,Uganda
Considering the characteristics of shallow stratum burial,poor rock consolidation and high porosity&high permeability in PAD2 well area of Kingfisher Oilfield,Uganda,through in-depth analysis of core,cuttings in offset wells and pilot hole,optimizing the coring tools and drilling fluids,detailed comparison of formation before coring,reasonable organization of site personnel,satisfactory coring results have been achieved.This paper elaborates the preparatory work and the control of the key points in situ,and puts forward specific measures for the details of the surface core processing,which has a high reference value for the drilling core operation under similar conditions.
