Advances in the application of biochar in wastewater denitrification and phosphorus removal
In recent years, due to the increasing content of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds in water, water eutrophication has occurred, and the reduction of water quality has caused harm to the whole ecosystem.Biochar has the advantages of large specific surface area, developed pore structure and rich functional groups. It is an efficient and environmentally friendly environmental remediation adsorbent. It has great application potential in removing inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus salts in wastewater. In this paper, the preparation and modification methods of biochar, the main factors and mechanisms affecting the adsorption of nitrogen and phosphorus were briefly reviewed.
