Application of X-ray diffraction in diagenesis-Take the D1 well in West South china Sea oilfield as an example
The relative content of clay minerals in well D1 of the West South China Sea oilfield was determined by X-ray diffraction,so as to study the mutual transformation relationship of clay minerals and determine the diagenetic stage. The results show that the fluid in the pore medium is alkaline and rich in K,and the kaolinite and Yi/Mengzi mixed layer transform into illite.Based on the data of S%of Yi/Mengzi mixed layer, geochemistry and thin section of cast,it is determined that the target layer is in the middle diagenetic stage.
