Cause analysis and countermeasures of scaling in fractionating tower and heat exchanger of mixed oil treatment unit
During the operation of a mixed oil distillation unit at an oil transfer station, the pressure in the fractionation tower increased and the pipeline flow decreased.During the maintenance of the unit,it was found that as the operating time of the oil-mixed fractionation tower extended,a large amount of organic polymer adhered to the structured packing and trays in the fractionation tower, which caused fouling, and the polymer blocked the gas-liquid channels in the packing space. There is obvious fouling phenomenon in the fractionation tower and heat exchanger. In this paper, aiming at the fouling phenomenon of the fractionation tower and heat exchanger of the mixed oil distillation unit, the fouling causes are analyzed based on the principle of gasoline polymer formation and combined with the structural factors of the fractionation tower and heat exchanger. After taking countermeasures such as optimizing the type of fractionation tower packing, replacing heat exchanger tube bundles, and adding polymerization inhibitor skids, the mixed oil fractionation effect during operation of the unit was significantly improved, while ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the unit.
