Analysis and Study of Three Genetic Types of Siliceous Rocks
Chert is a kind of special chemical sedimentary rock and occurs from Precambrian to Cenozoic.Due to its strong resistance to weathering,it preserves the original information of the sediment well, making chert an important carrier for reconstructing the ancient environment.chert is an important carrier for reconstructing paleoenvironment.Although the cherts in stratum have various forms, and the formation mechanisms of cherts with different forms are complex. And they can be classified into three categories:biological, chemical, and metasomatic.Through the examination of the genetic classifications of chert,a profound comprehension of the mechanisms underlying chert formation and the patterns of their geological distribution can be achieved.Such insights are invaluable for the reconstruction of paleoenvironmental conditions and the assessment of associated mineral resource potential.
