Lithofacies prediction of volcanic rocks based on indicator curves
Identification of volcanic rock facies and distribution is a"bottleneck"problem that restricts volcanic rock exploration. In view of the strong lateral heterogeneity of volcanic reservoir in Songnan Fault Depression, reservoir prediction is difficult, and volcanic reservoir cannot be well characterized based on conventional reservoir prediction methods. It is impossible to distinguish different volcanic rock facies through petrophysical analysis of conventional elastic parameters. Therefore,by combining the elastic and electrical characteristics of different lithofacies,a lithofacies indicator curve is constructed to characterize the lithofacies.Constraints are imposed when reservoir prediction, and lithology prediction is carried out based on waveform indication inversion. The prediction results are consistent with the actual geological understanding, and the distribution characteristics of different volcanic rock facies can be well characterized.
