The Impact of Relationship Networks on the Resilience of Farmer Professional Cooperative Organizations under VUCA Conditions——The Mediating Role of Organizational Learning
The global economic environment is complex, with frequent natural disasters and public health in-cidents.The VUCA situation, characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, has be-come a new normal for agricultural production.Enhancing the resilience of cooperative organizations has be-come an urgent issue to address. The key to whether cooperative organizations can effectively enhance their re-silience lies in the embedded relationship networks and organizational learning capabilities.Based on research data from 305 cooperatives, this paper constructs a theoretical model of relationship networks, organizational learning, and the resilience of cooperative organizations. The AMOS software is used to analyze the impact mechanism of relationship networks on the resilience of cooperative organizations and the mediating role of organizational learning. The study found that:relationship networks(both internal and ex-ternal)have a significant positive impact on the resilience of cooperative organizations, and organizational learning(exploitative learning and exploratory learning)plays a partially significant positive mediating role;in the mediating effect model, internal relationship networks have a more significant impact than external re-lationship networks, and exploratory learning has a more significant impact than exploitative learning;fur-ther analysis revealed that among the 22 observed indicators, indicators such as the types of services provided by cooperatives, the frequency of knowledge and experience exchange among members, sales channels,em-phasis on summarizing technical experience, and emphasis on introducing entirely new technologies are more critical. The research conclusions have implications for enhancing the resilience of cooperative organizations and promoting their sustainable development in the VUCA context.
