This paper proposes a method that utilizes reflector optical path technology to reduce the required calibration space and develops an innovative calibration system based on this method. This system incorporates an array of achromatic prisms into the traditional structure to maintain the length of the optical path while enhancing the efficiency of reflected light reception.Experimental validation conducted on three different models of catenaries, labeled A,B,and C,demonstrated that the system's average measurement error is less than 0.2 mm,conclusively proving its feasibility and accuracy for calibrating catenary geometric parameter measuring instruments. To further verify the practicality of this system, these three catenary measuring instruments were tested on the catenary calibration stand of the Changsha Metro's catenary network. The results from the designed calibration system closely matched those from the Changsha Metro calibration stand, affirming the accuracy of the calibration system and the practicality and effectiveness of the developed device.
