This paper details a measurement method for detecting angular errors of rotary tables using a theodolite and collimator, and discusses its implementation details.Conventional measurement methods using prisms and autocollimators, though highly precise and stable, suffer from high costs, limited measurement points, and cumbersome operations. The proposed method utilizes the theodolite as an angular standard and the collimator as an infinite target for precise angular measurements.Through careful adjustment of the collimator reticle and coaxiality of the theodolite and rotary table, the measurement errors are minimized.Experimental results show good consistency with conventional methods while offering cost-effectiveness,ease of use,and the ability to measure at any angle.
