Analysis on Development and Driving Forces of Digital Economy in Countries along"The Belt and Road"——Based on Perspective of Interconnection and interoperability
Based on the current situation and basic principles of the development of the digital economy in the new era, this paper constructs and calculates the development level of the digital economy based on the panel data of 39 countries along"the Belt and Road"from 2011 to 2020,The Gini coefficient was used to analyze the differences, and the drivers were identified using the fixed-effect panel model and the two-stage least square method. The research shows that the overall level of digital economy development of countries along"the Belt and Road"is low, with obvious heterogeneity and low connectivity, but the overall trend is rising, and digital in-frastructure construction is the main reason; The overall difference in the development level of the digital econ-omy is showing an expanding trend, with little difference between institutional guarantees and innovation envi-ronment.The widening gap in digital technology innovation capability is the main reason for this; The institution-al guarantee and innovation environment have the greatest promoting effect on the development of the digital economy, followed by the construction of digital infrastructure. The innovation capacity of digital technology ranks third and its impact on the development level of the digital economy lags behind. The degree of impact on the outward competitiveness of the digital economy is relatively small.
