Abstract
By strengthening top-level design,strengthening regional planning,giving full play to the power of state-owned enterprises,innovating collection and transportation modes,and coordinating ef-forts between government and enterprises,Shanghai has increased the capacity building of medical waste collection,transportation and disposal,solved the difficulties of medical waste collection and dis-posal in small medical institutions,effectively coped with the challenges of medical waste emergency collection,transportation and disposal during the COVID-19 epidemic,supported the collection,trans-portation and disposal of medical waste in Shanghai,and ensured the safety of medical waste collec-tion,transportation and disposal in Shanghai.
