Research on the Impact of Manufacturing Servitization on Enterprise Competitiveness——Empirical Evidence Based on A- share Listed Companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen
Under the background of the profound transformation of the global economy from industrial econo-my to service economy,servitization has become an important strategic choice for manufacturing enterprises to climb the global value chain and gain competitive advantages.Based on the panel data of A-share manufac-turing listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets from 2012 to 2021,this paper empirically studies the impact of servitization on the competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises.The research shows that there is a significant positive"U"relationship between servitization and enterprise competitiveness,and im-proving the competitiveness of enterprises can start with high-level servitization strategies.Further heterogene-ity analysis by ownership type and enterprise size reveals that the impact of servitization on competitiveness exhibits significant heterogeneity,with a more significant impact on the competitiveness of non-state-owned enterprises and large-scale enterprises,while the impact on the competitiveness of state-owned enterprises and small-sized and medium-sized enterprises is not significant.Therefore,policy recommendations are pro-posed to provide some reference for manufacturing enterprises to implement servitization transformation.
