Influence of Window Opening Degree and Window Floor Position on Natural Ventilation of Enclosed Buildings
This study investigates the impact of building window openings on ventilation in enclosed buildings.Numerical simulation methods are used to analyze the effects of window opening degree(5%,7.5%,10%,12.5%,and 15%)and window floor position(4 floors in total)on indoor and coupled flow between windward and leeward buildings in enclosed buildings. The research results indicate that under the condition of opening windows on different floors, the position of the window floor in windward buildings has little effect on leeward buildings, while the position of the window floor in leeward buildings has no significant effect on windward build-ings.When the window opening degree remains unchanged on the same floor, the indoor ventilation volume of the windward building increases with the increase of the window opening floor position, but slightly decreases at the top floor(4th floor); The indoor ventilation volume of leeward buildings is basically not affected. When the window opening degree changes, the ventilation volume of both windward and leeward buildings increases with the increase of window opening degree, and the ventilation volume of the two shows a linear relationship, that is,the ventilation volume ratio of the two approaches a constant value of 2.
