Total volume control and quota management are the basic systems of water resources man-agement in China.Quota management is an effective means to implement the water control idea of"water conservation first,spatial balance,systematic governance,and two-pronged efforts"in the new era.It is also an important basis for implementing water conservation work.A city in the south conduct-ed water use surveys and quota analysis on 751 urban non-residential water users in urban areas to gain an in-depth understanding of the water use characteristics of various industries,thereby providing a supporting reference for the subsequent and orderly promotion of quota water management.
