American Classroom Assessment Scoring System and Its Implications for Teaching Evaluation in China
The Classroom Assessment Scoring System(CLASS)in basic education of the United States evaluates teachers'teaching by observing teacher-student interactions,and its six versions have been widely used internationally,and the procedures for its use are becoming more mature.CLASS adopts diversified perspectives to evaluate classroom teaching based on the concept of student-centeredness,and its perfect implementation rules and strict qualification examination make it reliable and popular.Combining with the wave of digital education revolution,CLASS has certain inspirations for China's teaching evaluation,such as constructing a unique system in accordance with China's actual situation,emphasizing the emotional dimension in process evaluation,setting up training for evaluators,providing them with qualification tests,realizing online dynamic evaluation through multi-party cooperation as well as establishing a unified teaching evaluation database.
