摘要
罗进德精通汉、英、俄三语,一生从译、从教,为译界办刊,出版译学图书,推进国家翻译实践,对翻译既至诚与至真,观察、思考与研究翻译也能至理,推动国内外译事发展更能至善;"四至"之中,既含他丰富的翻译人生,也显其所达的高度,是译(学)界难得的"四栖"翻译家.
Abstract
Luo Jinde is proficient in Chinese,English,and Russian.He has dedicated his life to translation and teaching,managing translation journals,publishing academic books on translation,and promoting national translation practice.He approaches translation with utmost sincerity and truthfulness and believes that observation,reflection,and research are essential to theory-building.He strives for the development of translation both at home and abroad,aiming for excellence.All of these give a panoramic view of his rich trans-lation career,and also exemplify the heights he has reached.Luo Jinde is indeed an accomplished and"multifaceted"translator.
