An Analysis on the Improper Referencing from the Perspective of Academic Subjectivity
In the process of constructing an independent knowledge system,handling the relationship between China's autonomy and external references is easier said than done.At a turning point in the times,we might"break"first and then"establish"and sort out improper reference phenomena in current academic research,so as to explore the correct way of reference.Observations show that the improper referring in the research is mainly manifested in the lack of internalization,absorption and re-transformation of foreign disciplinary language and theory,the lack of sinicization process,such as improperly translated concepts,translated discourses,and simply instrumental thinking.Through the examples of three representative theoretical concepts of expectation possibility,street-level bureaucracy,and local official promotion tournament,and by ontogenetic examination,pragmatic analysis and effectiveness evaluation,we can discover the adverse impacts and potential risks of improper referencing on China's construction of the academic system,disciplinary system,and discourse system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics.It's an inevitable byproduct of the establishment of China's social science disciplinary system and academic system,but it is also influenced by disciplinary specialization,and the more direct reason is deviations in academic research methods.In future,the construction of China's independent knowledge system should be vigilant about improper referencing phenomena.
