The Urban studies is a cross-disciplinary field.It is social sciences,not urban history,that has been dominant in urban studies.Urban history study in China has to share some concepts and methods if it tries to engage in the urban studies,and offer latter some historical concepts and methods they could share.For this purpose,it is important to recognize the urbanity in discovering and understanding the living experiences from the persons in different times and in different places,and in cognizing the temporality in the historical process of the cities.
