人工智能对科技创新质量的影响:基于中国A股上市公司的证据

人工智能的发展和应用,为中国改变科技创新"量高质低"的局面创造了可能.使用中国A股上市公司数据的研究结果表明,人工智能有利于科技创新质量的提升.即使在使用替代变量和工具变量之后,这一结论仍然稳健.机制分析发现,人工智能通过规模效应和结构效应影响科技创新质量:前者是指人工智能有利于企业增加产出规模和研发投入规模,后者是指人工智能有利于企业优化要素结构和员工结构.异质性分析发现,人工智能对科技创新质量的积极影响在非国有企业、非高科技企业、大中型企业的表现尤为突出.这意味着,促进人工智能在这些企业的应用将有良好的创新绩效.门槛模型分析发现,人工智能对科技创新质量的促进作用边际递减.换言之,企业对人工智能的应用并不是多多益善,而可能存在合理的区间.
The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Quality of Scientific and Technological Innovation:Based on the Evidence of China's A-share Listed Companies
The development and application of artificial intelligence have created the possibility for China to transform the situation of"high quantity but low quality"in technological innovation.To this end,this paper conducts verification using the data of listed companies in China's A-share market.The research results indicate that artificial intelligence is conducive to enhancing the quality of technological innovation.Even after using alternative variables and instrumental variables,this conclusion remains robust.The mechanism analysis reveals that the influence of artificial intelligence on the quality of technological innovation is transmitted through the scale effect and the structural effect:the former means that artificial intelligence is beneficial for enterprises to increase the scale of output and Research and Development investment;the latter implies that artificial intelligence helps enterprises optimize the factor structure and the staff structure.The heterogeneity analysis discovers that the positive impact of artificial intelligence on the quality of technological innovation is particularly prominent in non-state-owned enterprises,non-high-tech enterprises,and medium and large-sized enterprises.This implies that promoting the application of artificial intelligence in these enterprises will result in excellent innovation performance.The threshold model analysis finds that the facilitating effect of artificial intelligence on the quality of technological innovation decreases marginally.In other words,the application of artificial intelligence by enterprises is not the more the better,but there may be a reasonable range.
