The Theoretical Logic and Practical Pathways for Comprehensively Consolidating Food Security with New Quality Productive Forces
Food security is a major national priority,and enhancing the comprehensive production capacity of grain is fun-damental to consolidating this security.The introduction of the concept of"new quality productive forces"offers new practical approaches for enhancing grain production capacity and provides new development momentum.This paper attempts to clarify the theoretical logic and practical foundations for comprehensively consolidating food security with new quality productive forces and proposes practical pathways for this consolidation.The study finds that food security is confronted with practical issues such as resource and environmental constraints,insufficient momentum for production increase,significant shortcomings in processing,storage and transportation,necessitating a transfor-mation and upgrade of the grain industry led by new quality productive forces.Based on the exploration and practice of new quality productive forces in the field of grain,it is necessary to further coordinate the progress of production technology and the transformation of management methods,grain conservation and food loss reduction,increase pro-duction and farmers'income,strengthen innovation in the seed industry,actively improve the grain growing environ-ment,promote the transformation and upgrading of the grain industry and the modernization level of the grain indus-try,in order to further consolidate the foundation of food security and achieve the construction of an agricultural strong country.
