Urban gas planning and design is an important part of urban infrastructure construction and is directly related to the urban quality of life and the sustainability of urban development.The advantages and challenges in practical applications are explored by analyzing the main strategies and methods in current urban gas planning and design.Firstly,the basic methods of gas demand forecasting and supply guarantee are introduced;secondly,the optimized design of gas pipeline network layout is analyzed;finally,the application of modem information technology in gas planning,such as GIS and big data analysis,is summarized.The research shows that scientific and reasonable planning and design can not only improve the operational efficiency of gas pipeline system but also reduce safety risks,save construction costs and provide a solid guarantee for the sustainable development of the city.
