Research progress of the regulation of myeloid cells in the tumor microenviron-ment on the occurrence and development of hepatocellular carcinoma
The tumor microenvironment(TME)is a complex cellular environment around tumor consisting of tumor cells,im-mune cells, and stromal cells, which plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis.Among tumor-infiltrated immune cells,a major composition and functional significant population is the myeloid cells(including tumor-associated macrophage[TAM],mast cell[MC],DC,tumor-associated neutrophil[TAN],and myeloid-derived suppressor cell[MDSC]).They have a complex du-al regulatory role in both cancer promotion and suppression and affect tumor growth, invasion, metastasis, and death. This re-view focuses on the research progress of how multiple myeloid cells in the TME regulate the occurrence and development of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).
