Differential quadrature method for vibration analysis of externally prestressed beams
Natural frequencies of free transverse vibrations of externally prestressed beams were investigated and the governing equations of the free vibration in related literature were discussed in this paper.The differential quadrature(DQ)method was applied directly to the corrected governing equation.Under the simple supported boundary condition,the natural frequencies were numerically studied,and the physical parameters of the beam were analyzed.The numerical results showed that the natural frequency values increased with the strength grade of concrete and eccentric of prestressed steel.However,with the growth of the length and value of original prestressed force,the natural frequency values decreased.
