New progress and application of carbon-11 labeling methodology
Positron emission tomography(PET)is a noninvasive molecular imaging technique.Because of its advantages of clear imaging and convenient disease diagnosis,PET has been developed rapidly in recent years. There are many kinds of positron radionuclides in PET tracers. At present, the common nonmetallic radionuclides include 11C,18F,13N and 15O.Among them, the suitable half-life(t1/2=20.4 min)and extensive synthetic methods of 11C have attracted the attention of radiochemists.Herein, the innovative labeling methods of 11C radionuclide in recent years and its attempt in the synthesis of specific PET tracers are reviewed.
