Local stability analysis of axial compression members with welded box-shaped section of Q690 high strength steel
High strength steel welded box-shaped axial compression members have been widely used in steel structure engineering.In this paper,ANSYS analysis software was adopted to establish a finite element model considering the local geometrical initial defect and welding residual stress,to carry out finite element analysis of Q690 high strength steel welded box-shaped axial compression short column members.Compared with the test data,the finite element model was verified to be reliable.Based on the finite element model,parametric analysis was carried out about the local stability of Q690 high strength steel welded box-shaped axial compression members.The design formula was given by direct strength method(DSM),which was applicable to the local stability of Q690 high strength steel welded box-shaped axial compression member.
