Comparative study on the automotive industry in coastal areas of China and Japan:a case study of Hangzhou Bay and Tokyo Bay
As an important indicator of a country s industrial development level,automobile manufacturing plays a pivotal role in its economic layout.Bay area,a typical representative of coastal areas,has long been one of the regions with unique advantages in the development layout of the automotive industry.This study adopts a comparative analysis method to collect relevant industry data on the automotive industry in Hangzhou Bay and Tokyo Bay areas.Based on the development process of the automotive industry in the Bay area,a detailed comparison is made from the dimensions of time and space to explore the internal laws,differences,and influencing factors of the development environment and new energy direction elements.It was found that Hangzhou Bay and Tokyo Bay have similarities and differences with their own characteristics and advantages in the development of the automotive industry.It is suggested that in the future,Hangzhou Bay New Area should continue to leverage policy support and industrial chain advantages,strengthen the industrialization and large-scale development of new energy vehicles and focus on enhancing technological innovation capabilities and internationalization levels and promoting the development of the automotive industry towards high-end,intelligent,green,and sustainable directions.
