The Embodied Tourism Experience Content and Transformation Phenomenon of Rural Tourism from a Process Perspective
The embodiment theory emphasizes the embodiment of experience, providing new ideas for tourism experience research. The article takes the ancient villages in southern Anhui,a world cultural heritage site,as a case study.Based on a process perspective and drawing on embodied theory, the article uses self ethnography methods to study the content and dynamic changes of embodied tourism experiences at different stages of the tourism process, the interactive relationship between the body and the tourism field, and the dynamic changes in experience pleasure. The results indicate that the content of embodied tourism experience includes embodied perception and embodied experience, and embodied perception and embodied experience interact with each other. At different stages of the tourism process, the intensity and pleasure of the experience exhibit a changing characteristic of first being strong and then weak, first increasing and then decreasing and then increasing again. The relationship between the body and the tourism experience presents a changing characteristic from immersion to separation. The research enriches the theoretical support for the dynamic representation of embodied tourism experience from a process perspective.
