Preparation and Performance Study of a Room Temperature Self-Crosslinking Epoxy Ester Resin
Room temperature self-crosslinking epoxy ester resins with different degrees of esterification were prepared by esterification of unsaturated fatty acids with epoxy groups and hydroxyl groups on epoxy molecular chains.The effects of oleic acid type,oil length,reaction temperature,reaction time,and rosin resin addition on the properties of epoxy ester resin were studied.The results showed that when the mass ratio of linoleic acid and eleostearic acid is 2∶1,the addition amount of rosin resin is 5%,and the oil length is 70%,the prepared epoxy ester resin has the optimum drying property and hardness.When the esterification reaction temperature is 200℃and the reaction time is 7 hours,the synthesis process of epoxy ester resin is relatively stable,and the prepared epoxy ester primer has excellent drying property,hardness and water resistance.It is suitable for the protection of steel components in bridges,pipelines,storage tanks,automobiles and other facilities,and has broad application prospects.
