Study on Factors Influencing the Performance of Two-Component Waterborne Epoxy Primer
A two-component waterborne epoxy primer was prepared by using waterborne epoxy emulsion and waterborne amine curing agent as film-forming materials. The effects of the types of epoxy emulsion and curing agent, the molar ratio of epoxy group to active hydrogen and pigment/binder ratio on the early water resistance of the film and the comprehensive properties of the cured film were investigated. The results showed when STW602K is matched with STW703C,the molar ratio of epoxy group to active hydrogen is 1∶0.8,and pigment/binder ratio is 2.1∶1,the two-component waterborne epoxy primer has good early water resistance and salt spray resistance, and can meet the anti-corrosion requirements from container, engineering machinery, steel structure and other industries.
