Effect of pulmonary rehabilitation comprehensive treatment on pulmonary function and exercise ability in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective:To investigate the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation comprehensive treatment on pulmonary function and exercise ability in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods:110 AECOPD patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group,55 cases in each group.Patients in both groups were given conventional treatment.Patients in the control group were given Montelukast sodium tab-lets on the basis of this treatment, and patients in the observation group were given pulmonary rehabilitation comprehensive treatment on the treatment basis of the control group. The ICU length of stay, total length of hospital stay, hospital mortal-ity,quality of life score, forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),FEV1/maximum expiratory volume(FVC),par-tial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),C-reactive protein(CRP)and levels of α1-antitrypsin(α1-AT)were compared between the two groups. Results:The ICU length of stay, total length of hospital stay and mortality in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Com-pared with those before treatment,FEV1,FEV1/FVC and PaO2 in the two groups were increased, and PaCO2 was de-creased,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment, the above indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.01).After treatment, the scores of general health, daily living abil-ity,pain,sexual life, positive feelings and dependence on medical means in the observation group were significantly higher than those before treatment and those in the control group after treatment(P<0.05,P<0.01).The levels of CRP and α1-AT were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01),and the level of CRP in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group after treatment(P<0.01),and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion:The pulmonary rehabilitation comprehensive treatment for AECOPD is effective and should be promoted clini-cally.
