汉画像石墓葬中的连璧纹为一组具有高度象征意味的复合型神话图像,它由象征玉璧的圆环与象征丝帛的直线这两种符号构成,被描绘于门楣、门扉与立柱上.连璧纹主要出现在江苏、安徽、山东、陕西、四川等地,尤其是安徽萧县地区.上述各地汉画像石墓葬中连璧纹隐藏着这样一种生命理念:墓主人经由现世到彼世的生命历程后,其亡灵通过玉璧升天,继而在生命的各个阶段自由转换.连璧纹并不是汉代神话思想的产物,而是史前玉璧与天蚕为神物的神话信仰的图像叙事,即"玉帛为二精"神话理念的再编码.其编码核心是由蚕到丝的符号置换,以及玉璧与丝帛建构的图像新意义.这种编码将神话大传统下的不死理念置换为生命的更新与转换,从而将静态的生命观转换为动态的生命理念.
Abstract
The Cross-disc pattern composed of circles and straight lines is a system of complex mythological symbol with highly symbolic meaning of jades bi(璧)and silk in Han stone tombs,which is depicted on lintels,titles and columns of Han stone tombs.These cross-disc images mainly appear in Jiangsu,Anhui,Shandong,Shaanxi,Sichuan and other places,especially Xiaoxian County,Anhui Province.The belief hiding this system of images is that the dead of the tomb owner finally ascend to Heaven by means of jade disc and can transform in each stage of life.The cross-disc symbol is not the product of the thought of the Han Dynasty,but the new mythological image of the belief of"jade as the halidom and silkworm as a god",namely"jades and silk are the two essence of the cosmos"in the Neolithic period.The core of its coding is the symbolic displacement of silkworm to silk,and the new meaning of the image constructed by jade bi and silk.The core of its coding is the symbolic displacement of silkworm to silk,and the new meaning of the image constructed by jade bi and silk.This encoding replaces the concept of immortality under the mythological tradition with the renewal and transformation of life,thereby transforming the static view of life into a dynamic concept of life.
