Textual research of saffron on Chinese and oversea materia medica and the differentiation in substances corresponding to the names
This paper examined the application history and fields of saffron at home and abroad,and also standardized the names of Fanhonghua,Zanghonghua and Xihonghua based on the application situation of previous dynasties,modern application scope and quality standards:the original plant is called Fanhonghua,the processed product of the red stigma of saffron is a commodity,and the medical use is called Xihonghua,those for other uses are Zanghonghua.
