Percutaneous vertebroplasty technique combined with Kangguning capsules in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compressibility fracture in the elderly patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type
Objective:To explore the effect of percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)technique combined with Kangguning capsules in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compressibility fracture(OVCF)in the elderly patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type.Methods:A total of 80 elderly patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to September 2022 were selected,and according to the random number table method,divided into a control group and a treatment group with 40 cases each.The control group used PVP treatment and after the day of PVP the treatment group took Kangguning capsules orally,2 capsules each time,3 times a day,for 14 days.The effect and adverse reaction were compared between two groups,and visual analog scale(VAS)was used to assess the pain on the back,and the improved Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)assessed lumbar function.Results:The treatment effective rate in the treatment group was 92.50%(37/40),which was higher than that in the control 75.00%(30/40,P<0.05).After 14 days of treatment,VAS scores in the both groups were lower than those before operation,and the treatment group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).After 14 days of treatment,the improved ODI scores in the both groups were lower than those before operation,and the treatment group was lower than that the control group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions occurred within 14 days in the both groups.Conclusion:PVP technique combined with Kangguning capsules can improve the effect of treatment of OVCF in the elderly patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type,reduce the back pain,improve the function of lumber,and there is no adverse reaction occurrence and the safety is high.
