Research progress on mechanism of botulinum toxin type A acting on glial cells to relieve neuropathic pain
Neuropathic pain is an important clinical problem that is poorly treated with conventional medications.Botulinum toxin type A relieves a wide range of pain, and its analgesic effects are thought to be associated with glial cells. This article summarizes the research progress of the mechanism of botulinum toxin type A acting on glial cells to relieve neuropathic pain, and further explores the clinical potential of botulinum toxin type A in the treatment of neuropathic pain.
