Analysis of dyslipidemia in the elderly people in Gaoqiao Ancient Town Community of Shanghai
Objective:To analyze the distribution of dyslipidemia in the elderly patients aged 60 and above in Gaoqiao Ancient Town Community of Shanghai,and to provide the scientific basis for further implementation of social health education and health management.Methods:The blood lipid indexes of 11 162 elderly people aged 60 and above who received free physical examination from January to October 2022 in Gaoqiao Ancient Town Community,Shanghai were statistically analyzed,among them,there were 4 980 males,accounting for 44.6%and the average age was(70.21±6.35)years;there were 6 182 females,accounting for 55.4%.The main lipid indexes included total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C).Results:The detection rate of dyslipidemia was as high as 71.83%,the detection rates of dyslipidemia in males and females were 66.73%and 75.95%,respectively and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The detection rates of elevated TG,LDL-C and TC in the elderly women were higher than those in the elderly men,while the detection rate of decreased HDL-C was lower in the women than that in the men,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).With the increase of age,the detection rate of dyslipidemia showed a downward trend.Conclusion:In 2022,the detection rate of dyslipidemia is significantly high in the elderly people aged 60-69 in Gaoqiao Ancient Town Community,and the detection rate is higher in females.It indicates that health education should be focused on the elderly women as the key population,health records should be set up,and free health management services should be provided,so as to improve dyslipidemia and prevent the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
