Objective:To analyze the effect of blended teaching mode based on flipped classroom in the undergraduate courses of orthopedics.Methods:Twenty-four"eight-year"students and 25"4+4"students in clinical medicine who participated in orthopedics courses were selected as the study subjects,in which"eight-year"students received traditional teaching(as a control group)and the"4+4"students received blended teaching mode based on flipped classroom(as the observation group). The total score, theory test score, internship test score and students'satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results:The total score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, but there were no statistical differences. There were also no statistical differences between the two groups in theory scores and internship test score. The overall satisfaction rate of the students was comparable in the two groups, but the"very satisfied"rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P=0.03).Conclusion:The application of the blended teaching mode based on flipped classroom in the undergraduate teaching of orthopedics can improve students'learning effect, cultivate their independent learning ability, and be recognized by both students and teachers.
