Effectiveness of Tongxinluo combined with atorvastatin in the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis in H-type hypertension
Objective:To observe the effectiveness of Tongxinluo combined with atorvastatin in the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis in H-type hypertension.Methods:One hundred patients with carotid artery atherosclerosis in H-type hypertension were randomly divided into an observation group(n=50)and a control group(n=50).Both groups were treated with oral amlodipine tablets,and then atorvastatin tablets were additionally given in the control group,while the observation group was treated with Tongxinluo capsule besides atorvastatin tablets.Blood pressure,blood lipids,carotid intima-media thickness(IMT),carotid plaque Crouse's score,blood biochemical indexes,clinical efficacy and treatment safety were evaluated in the two groups.Results:The total clinical efficacy rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,TG,TC,LDL-C,IMT,carotid plaque Crouse score,endolipids,Hcy,IL-1b,TNF-a,hs-CRP were lower and the levels of HDL-C,L-PGDS were higher in the observation group than the control group(all P<0.05).No serious adverse reactions occurred in both groups.Conclusion:Tongxinluo combined with atorvastatin can help to maintain the stability of carotid plaques in patients with carotid atherosclerosis of H-type hypertension,and the therapeutic effect is better.
