A review of multi-band mucosectomy for the treatment of early cancers and lesions of the gastrointestinal tract
Choosing the correct and effective treatment method with minimally invasive and quick recovery is the key to treating early cancer and mucosal lesions in the digestive tract. In the past,as long as cancer, precancerous lesions or submucosal lesions were diagnosed, most of them were removed by surgery regardless of the size and stage of the lesions.Surgery is traumatic, slow recovery and costly for patients, and organ function is impaired, making the quality of life of patients decline. With the continuous development and progress of medicine, endoscopic minimally invasive surgery has been gradually replaced some surgical procedures with a rapid development trend. For some early cancers, precancerous lesions, and submucosal lesions of the digestive tract, minimally invasive endoscopic surgery can completely remove and cure the lesions. This article describes the current status and prospect of multi-band mucosectomy for treating early esophageal cancer, precancerous lesions of the esophagus and colorectum, and submucosal lesions of the esophagus.
