In this paper,103 cases of adverse reactions of proprietary Chinese medicines were retrospectively analyzed in terms of gender and age of the patients,types of adverse reactions and routes of administration,types of drugs involved,major clinical manifestations and organs/systems involved,as well as adverse reactions of proprietary Chinese medicines and appropriateness of medication.There are many factors contributing to the adverse reactions of proprietary Chinese medicines,and strengthening medication safety monitoring during their use requires the joint promotion of medical practitioners,healthcare administrators,pharmacists and patients so as to effectively reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions of proprietary Chinese medicines.
