Investigation and analysis of the current situation and influencing factors of sleep disorders among elderly people in Xietu Community of Shanghai
Objective:To understand the factors affecting the sleep quality of the elderly in Xietu Community,Shanghai,and to provide reference for improving their sleep quality.Methods:The complete random sampling method was used to select 10%of the more than 1 600 elderly people who participated in the health examination in Community Health Service Center of Xuhui District,Shanghai from July to September 2023,a total of 160 were the research objects for the questionnaire,and the questionnaire contents included general information,Pittsburgh sleep quality refers to the quantity table and sleep quality questionnaire.Results:The average score of Pittsburgh sleep quality index was(8.09±4.54),including 78 cases(52.7%)in the sleep disorder group and 70 cases(47.3%)in the normal group.In the Logistic regression model,model 1 suggested that hyperlipidemia was a risk factor for sleep disorders when the regulatory variable was set as hyperlipidemia;model 2 suggested that hyperlipidemia,and age were the risk factors when the regulatory variables were set to hyperlipidemia,age,and gender;model 3 suggested that when the regulatory variables were set as hyperlipidemia,age,sex,BMI constitution index,cerebral infarction,diabetes,marital status,and education level,hyperlipidemia,advanced age and cerebral infarction were risk factors for sleep disorders.Conclusion:The rate of sleep disorders among the elderly in the community is low,advanced age,complication with hyperlipidemia or cerebral infarction are the risk factors affecting the sleep quality of elderly patients.COVID-19 infection may further aggravate the symptoms of the elderly patients with sleep disorders.
